The boy had a birthday party with his friends this weekend at a local ice skating rink. Yes, I do realize his birthday isn't for another month (together with his oldest cousin :)). Since his birthday is in the middle of summer, he hasn't ever had a party with friends. So, we decided to do it a month early while all of the kids are still in school and home. He wanted a hockey themed party.
Again, I place this love skating on the relatives in VA, especially his older cousins that he idolizes. The love of hockey he gets from his Dad and possibly his Godfather who gave him tickets to a professional hockey game. In other words, I absolve myself of all responsibility :).
There are no good pictures of them skating on the ice, as they were whirling dervishes moving way faster than the camera could capture them. This is the least blurry shot and you can't even see the boy's face. He is in the blue jacket with the hood on.
